South Tyrol's mild climate resulting from it's advantageous position on the

Kaltern lies in the south of South Tyrol, it therefore enjoys a
submediteranien climate., amongst the plentiful vineyards, palm, fig,
and olive trees are to be seen.
Kaltern is a small rural town with 6.700 inhabitants,.surrounded by unspoilt
nature, and of course not to forget the " Kalterer see" Kaltern' Lake.
Where you can swim and surf from May till October, it is the warmest lake
in the Alps. In summer the water temperature reaches 26 c.

appartments and shops, and there are two discotheques.
The food in South Tyrol is mirrored by the joining of two cultures, Italian
and Austrian. Therefore in this holiday region you can choose between South
Tyrolean or Italian cuisine.
Kaltern is a wine producing area, producing some of the best white wines in
Italy. There are many possibilities to visit the winerys and to take part
in wine seminars, tastings, and vineyard tours.
There are many events that take place in the summer months, lake parties,
swimming pool parties, barbacues, village and street parties, wine tastings,
late night shopping, Music concerts, musicals by the lake, open air cinema,
in short something for everyone.
